Intry

Intry is an online portal that connects recent college graduates looking for paid full-time, part-time, and entry-level positions with employers looking to fill positions. Users build online profiles to communicate with employers seeking new hires. The design for Intry includes a desktop interface for both job-seekers as well as employers.

Process

I was brought into this project after the business model had already been fairly defined. I was given the logo, color scheme and the idea behind the system. The Marketing Strategist already compiled research about the industry, so I began with a thorough read-through of the information to get a solid understanding of our target demographic. With the help of the Marketing Strategist, we devised a list of user stories and I created user scenarios. After sharing with the team and refining our list, we categorized each of the functions within the portal (see here). Because it is multi-facing (employers and students will log in separately), I had to consider how to differentiate what employers see compared to the students. Each demographic needed to handle different tasks within the portal. I worked with the Graphic Designer throughout the process to ensure the UI was on brand and fit the aesthetic of the company.
