Bellsuy

This was the product of a 10-week Interaction Design course I took at the University of Washington as part of my MS in Human-Centered Design and Engineering. This was the third and final project in that course, so we had about 3 weeks from end to end to complete it.

This is Bellsuy, a fictitious consumer-to-consumer e-commerce platform where people can buy or sell stuff directly to or from another person.

Process

What was unique about this project was that it was focused entirely on the visual work. We were instructed to assume that research had already been done, customer jobs had been defined, and it was time to start drawing. We had complete freedom to design the brand, including the colors, components, and visual aesthetics of the site. We were given a persona and from there I mapped out the website information architecture, then drew some rough sketches of the page layouts.

I prototyped a series of scenarios to show the end-to-end flow of someone signing up to become a seller, creating their online store, and completing their first sale.

We had complete freedom to design the brand, including the colors, components, and visual aesthetics of the site.

My role

This was a solo project, so everything shown is my work.

Tools

I used Figma for everything. I sketched lo-fidelity ideas by hand, then brought them into Figma to bring them into high-fidelity.

Outcome

This was a class project, and purely for stretching a more visual muscle. I really enjoyed it because I had full autonomy over what the site looked and felt like.
